LARCHMONT COLONIAL
A Colonial-style home overlooking the Long Island Sound was thoughtfully transformed to soften the home’s formality and better reflect the homeowners’ creative, art-driven lifestyle. Having previously collaborated on a residence at Blackberry Farm, Norris Studio executed the clear vision for spaces that felt dynamic, welcoming, and sophisticated. With one of the clients serving as Children’s Director at The Met, a robust contemporary art collection anchors the interiors, complemented by heirloom lighting and personal objects. Textured wallpapers, plastered ceilings, and low-profile furnishings introduce intimacy within the home’s generous scale, resulting in a residence where curated design and everyday living coexist with ease. Working with architect Andrew Mayfield of Fairfield House & Garden, the project balances architectural heritage with contemporary sensibility.
