MARYVILLE COLONIAL

A 1940s Colonial Revival home set on three wooded acres serves as the primary residence for the founder of Norris Studio and her husband. Thoughtful renovations by previous owners left the house in strong condition, allowing the work to focus on interior transformations through paint, wallpaper, select lighting and soft finishes.  Meant to evolve over time, the interiors balance refinement with a relaxed, collected sensibility. The home is largely composed of vintage furnishings gathered by the designer over many years, balanced with carefully chosen artisan pieces, including Zak + Fox wallcovering wrapping the entry and stair hall, custom mohair sofas, and lighting from Rose Uniacke and Jamb. Personal collections - including a grouping of beloved copper pots - lend warmth and a lived-in ease. The result is a home that feels settled from day one, grounded in patience, craftsmanship, and the rhythms of daily life.
